The Burlington detachment’s Highway Safety Division announced that the fatal, two-vehicle crash happened around 8:20 a.m. on Highway 6 between 11th and 12th Concession.

In a video posted on X, formerly Twitter, OPP spokesperson Sgt. Kerry Schmidt said the northbound passenger vehicle for some unknown reason moved into the southbound lanes, striking a delivery truck head-on that was travelling in the right lane.

He said the driver of the passenger vehicle was the lone occupant.

The OPP are speaking to witnesses and asking anyone with information on the incident to call Burlington OPP at 905-681-2511.
