Couple arrested after string of break-ins at Hamilton businesses

Two arrests have been made following a series of recent break-ins on the Hamilton Mountain.

Two arrests have been made following a series of recent break-ins on the Hamilton Mountain.

Between April 7 and April 21, police say nine commercial businesses were targeted for their money and electronics during the evening, primarily in the area of Upper James and Ancaster.

On Wednesday, April 23, police identified two Hamilton residents reportedly involved in several business entries.

“Police executed a search warrant and arrested the couple in their residence and seized property belonging to the businesses,” police say.

40 year old Hamilton man Joey Hudson is charged with:

  • Break and Enter (9 counts)
  • Disguise With Intent (9 counts)
  • Fail to Comply (7 counts)

39 year old Hamilton woman Patricia Edwards is charged with one count of Break and Enter.

The two were taken into police custody and held for a bail hearing.

Police say they anticipate further charges as the investigation continues.
