Cops release identity of Hamilton homicide victim

The Hamilton Police have now confirmed the identity of the victim in the shooting that occurred on Tuesday (Oct. 3) night.
36-year-old Tito Kelly, a resident of Hamilton, suffered from multiple gunshot wounds in the area of Herkimer St. and Caroline St. S. shortly before 11 p.m., police said.
He was transported to the hospital where Kelly succumbed to his injuries.
“The family has requested privacy while they grieve their loss,” Hamilton Police said in a press release.
Investigation into the fatal shooting remains ongoing and cops say that a small royal blue four-door sedan with dark tint was seen leaving the scene at high speeds, heading westbound on Markland St. shortly after the incident.
Additionally, the police have discovered a firearm at the crime scene.
They’re appealing to residents and motorists in the vicinity to review their security cameras and footage for any images or recordings of this vehicle, between 10:50 p.m. and 11:00 p.m.
