Collision closes section of major Hamilton road

A two-vehicle collision has closed part of a major Hamilton road this morning (Oct. 20).
Rymal Road East is closed in both directions from Dartnall to Pritchard roads, Hamilton Police Service’s traffic division announced on X, formerly Twitter.
No one was injured, police told inthehammer.com.
Police said the crash occurred shortly before 9:15 a.m. within the intersection of Rymal Road East and Dartnall Road. It involved a Dodge Magnum and a dump truck. They said officers are on scene waiting for a tow truck to remove the vehicle.
Meanwhile, Hamilton Water is responding to a watermain break near 15 Cannon St. W. During the repair, lanes will be restricted on Cannon Street West from James Street North to MacNab Street North. Work is expected to wrap up by 4 p.m. today.
In addition, Fifty Road will be closed from Ridge Road to Highway 8 on Saturday, Oct. 21 from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. for a cycling event. Motorists are advised to take an alternate route.
