After significant construction delays, J.L. Grightmire Market Street Arena in Dundas is set to reopen later this week, one year after renovations were originally slated to be completed.

Renovations to the arena included adding a whole new three-storey addition, an elevator and updates to dressing rooms and more.

The arena reopened on August 31st, but the official opening ceremony will be held on September 14.

Things will kick off with a free BBQ at 11:30 a.m., followed by a ribbon-cutting at 1 p.m, and a free Dundas Blues Jr. C Game when the puck drops at 2. A free family skate is also planned for 5 to 7 p.m.
