Bank robberies in Burlington and Oakville lead to arrest of Hamilton man

Halton police have arrested a Hamilton man in connection with robberies that took place in Oakville and Burlington recently.
Police say the first robber took place at the National Bank of Canada located on Sheridan Garden Rd. in Oakville on Aug. 28. In this case the robber entered the bank and demanded cash from the teller before escaping on a motorcycle.
Then, on Sept. 6, the same location was robbed again, this time by two men who fled on motorcycles. About 20 minutes later suspects fitting the same description robbed the National Bank on Fairview St.
In all cases, the suspects indicated they had a gun and a motorcycle was used.
Following an investigation by police, a suspect was identified and an arrest was made.
Isaac Kyei, 28, of Hamilton is now charged with three counts of robbery, using a disguise, possession of stolen property and possession of a firearm.
The accused was held for bail as police continue their investigation.
A second suspect is still outstanding
