April 27 Weather: A rainy weekend ahead for southern Ontario

The rain arrives early Saturday morning in Mississauga and the GTA and is set to stay with us through the weekend into next weekend according to the latest forecast from Environment Canada.

The clouds roll in early Saturday morning and it’s expected be mainly cloudy throughout the day with periods of rain beginning in the early morning hours. There’s a risk of a thunderstorm with the wind becoming southeast at 20 km/h late in the morning.

A high of 17 degrees Celsius is expected with the UV index at 2 or low.

Night-time conditions will be cloudy with a 40 percent chance of showers and the risk of a thunderstorm. A low of 14 is expected.

The wet weather will continue through Sunday with a 60 percent chance of showers and a high of 23 degrees Celsius. Temperatures will dip to a low of 13 at night with the clouds remaining and a 30 percent chance of showers.

The wet weather should stay with us through the early part of the week before beginning to clear on Wednesday.
