This gorgeous bistro on King William is open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. for brunch on New Year's Day. Their brunch menu features items like Croque Monsieur, Duck Waffles and Pain Perdu (fancy for French toast), among many other mouthwatering dishes. The new year will be off to an incredible start if you order from The French's brunch cocktail menu that features bevvies like Seasonal Sangria, Elderflower Kir and, the always reliable hangover equalizer, Caesars. This eatery has been getting raves since it opened its doors and it's no wonder: everything that comes out of the kitchen and bar is Instagram worthy. Motel is open on New Year's Day from 12 to 4 for brunch (but you will need to make a reservation — sooner rather than later) when they'll be serving they're entire food and cocktail menu, brunch features and offering unlimited mimosas for $25.

Ok, they don’t serve brunch per se, but if you want good breakfast/lunch food and you want to keep things pretty casual, the Bedrock Bistro is open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on New Year's Day. Be prepared to line up for a table because Bedrock is hopping on New Year's Day. Actually, it's hopping most days but New Year's Day is a particular favourite among Hamiltonians looking to soothe their NYE hangovers and to start the new year off right for a very reasonable price.

This Downtown Stoney Creek gem is known for their stellar brunch buffets, which they will be offering New Year's Day from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The buffet features more than 50 items, including a carvery, omelette station, chocolate fondue, seafood, salad bar, waffle station and so much more. Also, the prices for this well-stocked buffet are very reasonable: $30 for adults, $20 for seniors, $15 for kids six to 12 years of age, and children five and under are free. The historic and elegant atmosphere is the perfect setting to kick off 2020. Reservations are recommended.

Not only is this one of the most picturesque restaurants in the city, but the Ancaster Mill's brunch is also known for being among the best in the area. They offer made-to-order stations, a juice bar, a huge selection of fresh seafood, carvery, charcuterie, desserts, cocktails and so much more.
